What comes to mind with ‘Thanksgiving’?
Gratitude, Family, Pumpkin, Turkey, Bread, Apple Pie, Blessings, Greetings, Home, Cooking, Gathering, Seasons, Leaves… Unsettling times appreciate all the above even more. I am so thankful for people who care about me, support me in what I do and share my values.
Pumpkin
Year was 2016, Toronto west end. Note the prices then. Besides that, I have never seen pumpkins so big ever after.
Instead of Apple Pie
Doing it the French way, replace the apple pie this year with a Magic Apple Cake.
This recipe gives you 3-layer cake from one batter and only 5 ingredients! Sophisticated enough, yet simplified for Millennials (OK, just kidding! I have full respect for Millennials struggles today :))
Understanding Essential Oils reactions
Many people assume that if they have a reaction to an essential oil, they must be allergic to it. However, that’s not often the case. True essential oil allergies are rare, and reactions are more often the result of improper usage. Read more here.
How to avoid troubles?:
Read labels
Use only high-quality, unadulterated oils
Do the patch test to discover skin sensitivity
Wash your hands after using essential oils.
Wishing you safe, abundant, healthy Thanksgiving Gathering with Family and Friends –

Pumpkin soup
Something I learned in Portugal last Summer: very delicious pumpkin soup. You can cook it on meat stock, or the traditional version is based on olive oil. Cook 3 cups of pumpkin cubes, one cup of potatoes, half an onion, and mash it hot. Add cooked: 3/4 cup of sliced green flat beans, half a cup of white cabbage cut in 1-inch pieces, don’t mash those. Spiced up with salt, pepper, a few flakes of cayenne, and maybe some more of your fav spices, combine together and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Despite higher inflation, past pandemic vows, and a global turmoil, we are still blessed here in Toronto. Young Living says – HOPE has a voice. This voice is One Voice essential oil blend.

Turkey with essential oils little help?
What turkey baking and essential oils may have in common? Nothing really, unless you want to skip buying fresh herbs or intensify the flavours of some dishes. Essential oils flavourings (marked as The Plus series in Canada, with white labels, and ‘Vitality’ series in USA) include Rosemary+, Oregano+, Parsley+, Cinnamon+, Orange+, Nutmeg+ and others. These oils have longer shelf life than fresh or dry herbs. Learn how to use them, so vivid bright flavour is always at your hand.
