Worry or stay in the present moment…
…In the world of oversized worries: high inflation, geopolitical unrests, oncoming pathogens, unsettling weather, social changes, supplies instability etc, it is just common to get overwhelmed, back yourself into corner, be lost at decisions, not knowing what to do. Knowledge is more precious than riches, and best remedies do not come down to the cheapest imitations when health and family are the most important thing in life.
I couldn’t help but share this pic of one of Eric Z. kids
It is well repeated verse: “We are told to live every day as if it’s your last, but one thing I’ve learned from my children is to live every moment like it is the only one that you have. Because it may end up being that way…”, says Mama Z. from Naturally Living Family
Fair warning
Get your oils and cleaning supplies before July 1st price adjustment, to make the most of your points and credits, if you still have any in your account. High inflation and supply chain interruptions (along high gas prices) are driving all prices up. Guess who stocked on Lavender today, after walking onto door frame accidentally yesterday? The moment I realized a big bruise along my upper arm is in the making, I ran for the best remedy I cannot live without, short of misery. You wouldn’t see that anything happened – today my arm is its own beautiful self. Yeah!
Be well informed
Some natural products have blood thinning properties that may interfere with drugs prescribed to you.
These essential oils are somewhat blood thinners: Peppermint, thyme, oregano, ginger, dill, cinnamon, wintergreen, nutmeg, clove. Only oils from Plus/Vitality series are approved for oral consumption in appropriate quantity (look up every inside label, if in doubt). Essential oils applied topically to skin, are absorbed by the body, including bloodstream. To put it in a perspective, also these fruits are blood thinners: blueberries, cherries, cranberries, grapes, oranges, tangerines, prunes, raisins, strawberries.

Insect repellent
This is an oil version, not a spray: to empty 15ml bottle add: 13.35ml sesame (carrier) oil, 1ml Vit E, 16 drops Citronella Essential Oil, 3 drops Lemongrass, 2 Rosemary, 1 each of Geranium, Spearmint, Thyme and Clove. Apply to uncovered parts of the body: 2 drops to each arm and leg, and 2 drops all together for face, outside ears and neck. Just light overall scent is enough.
With essential oils “less is more”. To “take off” what is too much, use generous amount of carrier oil, wipe, then you may wash with soap and water. My neighbour asked me to make repellent spray last year, and she walked at Georgian Bay untouched, while her husband got bitten, despite sporting commercial stuff from a drugstore. Yes, he might have been sweeter in nature 😉
Einkorn flour cake
Why Einkorn? Minimal gluten. Take 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cup flower, 1tsp vanilla, 2tsp baking powder, 1 cup coconut or cane sugar, 2 oz avocado oil, 1 tbsp cacao powder. Mix lightly together and bake 35 min at 350F. I usually replace sugar with 2 tbsp honey and double amount of spices like clove, cinnamon, coriander, fennel and turmeric.
Cinnamon walnut pears:
2 large ripe pears, cut in halves
¼ cup crushed walnuts
2 tablespoons of honey
3 drops Cinnamon Bark +
¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Bake 30 minutes in 350F.

This one is a challenge up for a prize
Dark spots on skin, especially hands and face might be a downer for ladies (and men) who no longer are eager to reveal their age… There are many secret recipes involving essential oils which claim to have conquered the culprit. I, and my friends, have to yet confirm that to be true. Names that are flying around include Tea Tree oil, Lavender, Geranium, Frank, Neroli, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Lemon, Sandalwood.
Do you have one combination that works? please share.
