Getting out of the rabbit hole…

School of Greatness
Share

…is not easy, especially if we don’t know we are in one. Social media gives you more of what you seek for, and so does the real life we live. It is wise and smart to seek both sides of the story – and develop our own values based on that. We have very strong biases anyways – from our culture, family and it’s history, origins, people around us, what we know and experienced already, etc. Don’t let it blind you – for the best outcome be open to learn and be able to challenge your beliefs.

Minority mindset

…has it’s advantages. Most people think for instance, that market will crash, they will be priced out of everything they want and need with interest rates going up etc. However for others (minority mindset), such time is a lifetime opportunity to build wealth, this guy says. How?!!! Open your mind and listen (no, I am not selling any crypto, LOL). But here is an interesting report: what’s an average Canadian’s net worth, by province.

History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes

Fresh up with oils

Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint are most bought oils. Don’t use peppermint directly on skin of the small children. Other than that they are safe and effective for most of the population. (Learn about oils around pets). Place them on a cloth in closets, drawers; diffuse in bathrooms and dens; spray linen;
Use these sprays in gym bags, shoes, stale areas that need refreshing. Wash towels with lemon oil.
Put a couple drops each of lavender and lemon in a simmering pot on the stove after dinner to cut the heavy cooking smell.
Pour a few drops in the bag of your vacuum cleaner for a fresh scent throughout the house.

Fennel essential oil uses

Tasty, aromatic and a global favorite, traditional fennel essential oil uses help manage anxiety, cramps, digestive upset.
Like anise, fennel has a touch of black licorice scent and flavor that make it uniquely suited for aromatic preparations. I love how it brings soothing relief to my belly after a heavy or awkward meal.

DIY spider off-it-goes…

Spiders are very much needed and a part of Earth’s food chain – but we don’t need them too close, especially in our living quarters. After you’ve cleaned regularly your space, make this natural, non-toxic spider repellent. To an 8oz glass spray bottle add 40 drops of essentail oils, 4oz filtered water, 4oz high proof grain alcohol. Mix and spray lightly room corners at the trim level or trouble areas. These essential oils are good repellents:

  1. Peppermint
  2. Cedar
  3. Citronella
  4. Citrus – lemon, grapefruit
  5. Cinnamon
  6. Eucalyptus
  7. Lavender
  8. Tea Tree

Lemon the Cleaner

Lemon essential oil is great to clean the yucky gluey stuff off walls, furniture, glass, floor and cloths. Best used with microfiber cloth or rough part of washing sponge. Use also in wash of light colour clothes, bedding, towels, but not in the dryer. Heat and air ventilation will evaporate the scent. Add it to dryer, use just before the end of cycle or as after-spray.

Body care – cheaper daily vs long term health

Buying organic produce and making DIY cleaners are often at the top of the priority list when cleaning up chemicals in the home. But an entire section of toxins is often overlooked in spite of being arguably one of the most dangerous sources of toxins: body care products. Take the time to learn which toxins should absolutely be avoided and just how easy it can be to replace them with DIY body care products.

Dare to live it bigger

Those good things like vacation, or new job, or retirement, can bring with them stress, but enjoy such a Good Stress.

Good stress

Good events can be stressful my friend.
Remind yourself of that the next time something great is happening yet you feel ‘out of sorts’. That’s normal.
